• Bearing Shells (Upper and Lower Halves) – the main pieces that wrap around the crankshaft journals to support them.

• Bearing Cap – holds the lower bearing shell in place and bolts to the engine block.

• Thrust Washer (or Flange Bearing) – controls the crankshaft’s forward and backward movement (end play).

• Oil Hole & Groove – built into the bearing shells to deliver engine oil for lubrication.
