Connecting Rods
At JSI Auto Solutions in Los Angeles, near Inglewood, our expert team rebuilds and services connecting rods — including the small end, big end, rod beam, and bearing inserts — ensuring strength, precision, and smooth engine performance.
-
Small End – connects to the piston pin (wrist pin) at the top.
-
Big End – attaches to the crankshaft journal at the bottom.
-
Rod Beam (or Shank) – the long middle section that connects the small end to the big end; it handles the force from the piston.
-
Bearing Insert (or Bushing) – fits inside the big end to allow smooth rotation on the crankshaft.
